Job Description

A leading international law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its product liability and warranty litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes matters involving automotive, aviation, and other regulated industries.

The ideal candidate is a motivated litigator with strong writing skills, solid experience navigating the litigation process, and the ability to manage responsibilities independently. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on litigation and is interested in developing trial experience.

This practice represents a diverse client base, including manufacturers, transportation providers, public entities, government contractors, retailers, and insurers across a range of sectors such as automotive, aviation, consumer products, and industrial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings
  • Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare analytical memoranda
  • Prepare client updates, status reports, and strategic recommendations
  • Manage document review and analysis in preparation for litigation
  • Handle all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial support

Qualifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience
  • Experience with discovery, law and motion practice, and court procedures
  • Familiarity with product liability, automotive warranty, or aviation-related matters is preferred
  • Experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, is a plus
  • Exposure to both state and federal court litigation
